Madhya Pradesh: A huge fire broke out in a chemical factory in Bhopal’s Govindpura area, flames were seen far away
A huge fire broke out in a chemical factory in Govindpura industrial area adjacent to the capital Bhopal city on Saturday afternoon. Being a chemical factory, the fire spread quickly. Today’s terrible form can be guessed from the fact that flames of about 20 feet high are rising from the factory. Prima facie, the fire is being said to have started due to a short circuit. Smoke rising from the fire is seen in the entire Govindpura industrial area. This has spread panic in the entire area. A dozen fire engines have been deployed on the spot to extinguish the fire. Looking at the seriousness of the matter, a team of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has also been called. CISF personnel are also engaged in controlling the fire. CISF personnel are experts in extinguishing fires in industrial factories, so they have been given the responsibility.
Car showrooms are at some distance from the factory
Tata and Mahindra company showrooms are at a distance of a few steps from the place where the chemical factory is located in Govindpura industrial area. The factory is also about 150 meters away from JK Road. After the fire broke out, a crowd of people gathered on the road. The police removed them from the road after a lot of effort.
Vehicles parked in the factory premises also burnt, equipment did not work
An auto and some bikes parked in the factory premises also burnt in the accident. It was a good thing that no employee was inside the factory. As soon as people saw the fire, they made noise due to which all the employees came out. After the information, policemen from Ashoka Garden along with Pipatani and Govindpura police station also reached the spot. Officials of the Municipal Corporation and the District Administration have also reached the spot. Fire brigade teams of the Municipal Corporation are also present. Efforts are being made to control the fire. Police sources said that the equipment installed inside the factory to extinguish the fire were not working, due to which the fire took a terrible form.
