According to the information received from the police, the body of Congress worker Himani Narwal was found in a closed suitcase on March 1. A dupatta was found wrapped around her neck. It is suspected that first she was strangled to death with a dupatta and then the body was locked in a suitcase and thrown away. DSP Rajneesh Kumar said that the murder is being investigated from different angles. At present, the family has not suspected anyone. Himani’s phone has been recovered. CCTV cameras are being examined and the help of cyber cell is also being taken. The murder will be exposed soon.
What Himani’s brother said
Himani Narwal’s brother Jatin said that his mother called at 2 o’clock and asked me to come home. A call came from the police station that the body of a woman named Himani has been found. They asked me to come and identify her. During the identification, she turned out to be my real sister. We have agreed for postmortem, but will not perform the last rites. My sister was an active member of the Congress party for 10 years and was close to Bhupendra Singh Hooda. We appeal to the government and administration for justice.
Will not perform last rites if justice is not received
The deceased’s mother Savita said that if my daughter does not get justice, I will not perform her last rites. We got a call from the police station and were told that our daughter’s body was found at Sampla bus stand. Our family is in shock with this news. My daughter was very close to Asha Hooda (Bhupendra Singh Hooda’s wife). I will not perform her last rites until she gets justice. My elder son was killed in 2011 and we never got justice. So I took the second son to the BSF camp to save his life. After the elections, she was a little disillusioned with the party. Himani was associated with the Congress for the last 10 years. She had even agreed to get married.
