Uttarakhand / Haldwani: The accused who opened fire outside the judge’s court has been arrested. He was shot due to political rivalry

Police has revealed the shooting incident near Haldwani’s Judge Court. The accused has been arrested from Basani area. The incident was carried out due to political rivalry. The accused said that he had carried out this incident because his wife had lost the last election.

The accused who fired outside the Judge Court has been arrested

SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena revealed the case and said that the incident took place on March 9, when there was news of a person being shot in public near the Judge Court at Bhotia Padav. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and sent the injured to the hospital for treatment. During the investigation, the police searched the CCTV footage and activated the informers.

The accused was arrested from Basani

After several hours of hard work, the accused’s location was traced and he was arrested from Basani area. The accused has been identified as Sumit Bisht alias Bali, resident of Balezli Lodge, Bhotia Padav. The SSP said that the accused is a notorious criminal. There are 16 criminal cases registered against him earlier including attempt to murder, rioting, molestation and assault.

The accused is a cunning criminal

SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena says that the police has also taken action against the accused from time to time under the Goonda Act. An illegal pistol, a live cartridge and the vehicle used in the incident have been recovered from the possession of the accused. Along with this, preparations are being made to send the accused to jail.
