IIFA Awards 2025: Missing Ladies won the Best Film Award, know who became the best actor and actress

In the midst of mild cold, the film ‘Gapat Ladies’ won the 25th IIFA Awards ceremony held at Jaipur Exhibition Convention Center (JECC) on Sunday evening. The film won ten awards in different categories.

Despite the final cricket match between India and New Zealand in the Champions Trophy, the JECC ground was full of cinema lovers. The show was hosted by actor Kartik Aryan and filmmaker Karan Johar.

Rajasthan CM was present

Karan Johar started the award by reading the message sent by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which read – ‘Cinema is one of India’s powerful mediums of storytelling, which is showing our country’s rich heritage, diverse culture and developing social scenario to the world. Indian cinema is attracting global audiences through artistic intelligence. Along with this, the tradition of telling rich stories has acted as a bridge to reduce the gap between different cultures. We have always supported the film industry along with promoting it, and will continue to do so in the future.’ Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari were also present on this occasion.

Karthik’s hosting started with a song from Bhool Bhulaiyaa in the style of Rooh Baba. Karthik and Karan did not miss any opportunity to roast each other in between. The dance performance started with a colorful glimpse of Rajasthan’s culture. Kareena Kapoor paid tribute to her grandfather and showman Raj Kapoor on his birth centenary by performing his songs Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua, Yeh Galiya Yeh Chaubara, Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan. Apart from them, stars like actress Kriti Sanon, Kartik Aryan, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit tied the knot with their performances.

Best Actor Award for Kartik

Karthik Aryan, who won the Best Actor Award for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, said that the journey of Bhool Bhulaiyaa has been full of thorns. When I was first selected for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, many questions were raised. Will this film be able to run on my shoulders or not? Actor and MP Ravi Kishan, who won the Best Supporting Actor award for the film ‘Gapat Ladies’, said that he has done 750 films in regional languages, but never got an award. It has been a very long journey, people come walking, I have come crawling. I will thank Modi ji because he never stopped me, neither does he stop me, nor does Yogi Adityanath ji.
