Uttarakhand: Holi is being celebrated in Kumaon today, CM Dhami played colours after taking blessings from mother in Khatima

Holi was played on Friday in most parts of Uttarakhand along with the whole country. Today Holi is being celebrated in the Kumaon division of the state. CM Dhami reached his home Khatima on Friday evening. First of all, he bowed to his mother’s feet and took her blessings. After this CM Dhami played Holi.

When CM Dhami was going to his ancestral residence Nagara Tarai in Khatima, he stopped the car after seeing people on the way. After this he met the people. Wished them a Happy Holi. CM Dhami also posted about this on his social media account X. CM Dhami wrote-
Today while going to his private residence Nagara Tarai in Khatima, I stopped the car after seeing a group of familiar mothers and sisters on the way and met them and wished everyone a Happy Holi, the holy festival of colors. Whenever I get an opportunity to meet old acquaintances in a busy routine, the mind becomes emotional.
CM took mother’s blessings
After this, CM Dhami reached his residence Nagara Tarai in Khatima. Here he first touched the feet of his mother and took her blessings. A group of Holiyaars had gathered at his house. CM Dhami also celebrated Rangotsav with them. CM Dhami wrote on his social media account-
Reaching the residence in Khatima, celebrated the holy festival of love, affection and harmony with mother and received her blessings. During this, traditional dance was also done and by playing Holi with the god-like people and family members who came in large numbers, he wished everyone on the festival of joy and happiness.
Holi in Kumaon today
Holi is being celebrated today in the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand. In view of this, the Uttarakhand government has declared a public holiday today. As per the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, this holiday will be applicable in all government/non-government offices and educational institutions/schools of the state.
