Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Two bikes collided head-on on the under-construction Doon-Paonta highway, Himachal youth died

Two bikes collided head-on between Sherpur and Hasanpur on the under-construction Doon-Paonta four-lane national highway. A bike rider from Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh died in the accident. At the same time, three people riding both the bikes were injured. All three are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
According to the information, Sahaspur police station received information about a collision between two bikes on the Doon-Paonta four lane. On receiving the information, the police team reached the spot. Station in-charge Shankar Singh Bisht said that there were two youths riding on both the bikes. He said that all four youths were injured in the accident. The injured were sent to the hospital for treatment.
He said that doctors in the hospital declared Sumit (26) son of Mamachand, resident of Manpur Devda of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, dead. He said that Raju (20) son of Soma, Deepak (21), resident of Badri Pur of Sahaspur and Hukumchand, resident of Sherpur, are undergoing treatment in the hospital. After filling the Panchnama of the deceased, the body was handed over to the family members.
The police station in-charge said that one bike was coming from Sherpur towards Dharmawala. Whereas, the other bike was going from Dharmawala towards Sherpur. He said that due to high speed the bike driver could not control the vehicle and a collision occurred.
