Uttarakhand: CBI arrests RPF ASI and Railway technician for taking bribe

Dehradun CBI team arrested ASI posted at Railway Protection Force (RPF) post of Kathgodam railway station and a railway gate repair technician (electrical) red handed while taking bribe of Rs 20,000. CBI team has registered a case against both of them for taking bribe and has expedited further action. At the same time, CBI team is searching the houses of both the accused as well as investigating their property.
Demand for bribe in lieu of not arresting and seizing the vehicle
It is being told that an FIR was lodged by RPF against a vehicle owner of Haldwani in the case of breaking the railway gate with a dumper truck. But RPF ASI along with the technical employee of the railway demanded a bribe of two lakh rupees in lieu of not arresting the complainant and not seizing his vehicle. But the accused settled for a bribe of Rs 25,000.
CBI arrested red handed while taking bribe
Meanwhile, the vehicle owner complained about this to the CBI team. After which the complainant gave a bribe of 20 thousand rupees to RPF ASI and railway technical employee on Sunday. During this, the CBI team caught both the accused red handed while taking bribe. The CBI team is searching the houses of the accused in the entire case as well as investigating their property. According to CBI, both the accused have been arrested and a case has been registered against them. Action will be taken to present both the accused in the court on Monday i.e. today.
