Angry student leaders, who were not able to solve the various problems of the students for a long time in Lohaghat Mahavidyalaya, reached the college on Monday under the leadership of ABVP State Co-Secretary Vivek Pujari and took former Higher Education Director CD Sootha hostage. The incident caused a stir in the college administration.

Student leaders made serious allegations against the college administration

The college administration tried to convince the student leaders but the angry student leaders remained adamant on the written assurance of resolving the problems. ABVP State Co-Secretary Vivek Pujari and Student Union President Hrithik Dhek said that due to the negligence of the college and university administration, the results of many students who appeared for the examination from 2020 to 25 could not be declared. Due to which the future of more than fifteen hundred two students is hanging in the balance. Also, many students have been deprived of getting a job.

Corruption during the tenure of former Higher Education Director

The student leaders said that many times the college and university administration was asked to provide the mark sheets of the students, but no cognizance was taken. The student leaders alleged that during the tenure of the former Director of Higher Education, there was large-scale corruption in the college, government money was distributed among themselves, even the ledger register of the college was torn, but no action has been taken in this matter yet. The agitated said that the college administration does not give the right answer to the Right to Information. Even a fourth class employee has been made a librarian.

The agitated student leaders agreed on written assurance

The agitated said that the college administration is ready to organize programs in the school but is not ready to solve the problems of the students. When the student leaders did not agree to release the former Director of Higher Education, the school’s principal Dr. Sangeeta Gupta gave a written assurance to solve the problem of the students within a month, after which the student leaders released the former Director of Higher Education.

If the demands are not met, there will be a fierce agitation

In this matter, former Director of Higher Education CD Sootha refused to say anything. The student leaders warned that if their demands are not met, a fierce agitation will be carried out, the full responsibility of which will be of the university and college administration.
