‘Javed wanted Kangana to apologize in writing’, Shabana Azmi made a big revelation a month after the agreement

A long legal battle between veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar and actress Kangana Ranaut has come to an end in February last month. A Mumbai court ended the entire matter by getting a mutual settlement between the two in this entire matter. But now, about a month after the settlement of this matter, Javed Akhtar’s wife and Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi has made a big disclosure about this matter and told that it was not really a mutual agreement.

Javed was asking for a written apology

According to Bollywood Hungama, Shabana Azmi said, “Javed Akhtar wanted a written apology from Kangana Ranaut instead of financial or monetary compensation. He and his lawyer Jay Bhardwaj have won. I am surprised why the media showed it as if it was a mutual agreement. Whereas it was not told that he was asking for a written apology and why he fought this case for four years.” Javed had filed a complaint in 2020.

Javed Akhtar had filed a complaint against actress Kangana Ranaut in July 2020. The lyricist had alleged that Kangana had tarnished his impeccable image and defamed him by dragging his name in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case during a media interview. In response, Kangana Ranaut filed a cross-complaint against Javed Akhtar alleging criminal intimidation and outraging his modesty.

Kangana had sought unconditional apology

At the time of settlement of the case in February last month, Kangana Ranaut had said in her settlement report, “My statements made in an interview on July 19, 2020 and thereafter regarding Javed Akhtar were a victim of misunderstanding. I unconditionally withdraw all my statements and promise not to do so in future. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to Javed Akhtar, who is one of the most experienced personalities in our film industry. I respect him a lot.” At the same time, Javed Akhtar had said in his settlement report, “After the statement given by Kangana Ranaut, I am ready to withdraw my complaint.” After this, Kangana shared a cute picture with Javed Akhtar and wrote that the legal matter was resolved and Javed Akhtar also agreed to write the song for her next film.
