With the retirement of Radha Raturi on March 31, Anand Vardhan will become the biggest boss of Uttarakhand bureaucracy from April 1.

Anand Vardhan is a 1992 batch IAS officer: Anand Vardhan is the most senior officer of the IAS cadre in Uttarakhand. He is currently handling the responsibility of Additional Chief Secretary in the administration. The special thing is that at present there is only one ACS level officer in the state. In such a situation, the government also did not have any other option as a name for the post of Chief Secretary.

Radha Raturi is retiring on March 31: The current Chief Secretary Radha Raturi had got an extension of 6 months twice on the post of Chief Secretary. Even before retirement, Radha Raturi has applied for the post of Chief Information Commissioner. It is very important for the Uttarakhand government to appoint someone to the post of Chief Information Commissioner by the month of April. Actually, in the month of April, there will be only one Information Commissioner left in the Information Commission. In such a situation, the work of the commission can come to a complete standstill. In view of this, the state government will compulsorily appoint someone to the post of Chief Information Commissioner in April. After Radha Raturi’s application, there is a possibility that she may be selected as the Chief Information Commissioner.
