Uttarakhand gets its first women’s sports college, government order issued

The state government has issued a government order for the construction of the state’s first women’s sports college in Lohaghat, Champawat. Let us tell you that earlier Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had announced the construction of this college in a program.

After the issuance of the government order, Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that this is a gift from the state government to the girl players across the state on the first day of the Hindu New Year and the first day of Navratri. The minister said that after the operation of this college starts, the girls of the state will get help in grooming their sports skills along with studies. The minister said that with modern sports science techniques, the performance of the girl players of the state will definitely improve on the national and international platform in the coming years.

The minister expressed gratitude to CM Dhami

The minister said that after the successful organization of the 38th National Games, this is another important step of the government towards promoting sports. The minister said that the number of girls among the players of the state who won medals in the National Games was quite good, but despite this, till now there was no big government institution dedicated to preparing girls as a player in the state. This deficiency will be fulfilled after the construction of Girls Sports College in Champawat. Khel has expressed gratitude to CM Dhami for issuing the government order.
