Actually, Saira Bano, a resident of Kashipur in Udham Singh Nagar, came into the limelight when she filed a writ in the Supreme Court against triple talaq in the year 2016. In the year 2017, the Supreme Court gave a decision in her favor. In the year 2018, the Modi government made a law on triple talaq and made a provision to send the accused to jail.

It is worth noting that Saira Bano, a resident of Kashipur, was married to Rizwan Ahmed, a property dealer from Prayagraj, in the year 2002. In 2015, Rizwan gave her triple talaq. After which she filed a petition in the Supreme Court against triple talaq in the year 2016. In the year 2017, the Supreme Court ruled in her favor, considering triple talaq unconstitutional. After which the Modi government made a law regarding triple talaq in the year 2018. After making the law, Saira Bano was also welcomed by the BJP on its platform. In the year 2020, Saira Bano was made the Vice President of the Women’s Commission by the Trivendra government. After which the Dhami government has also made her the Vice President of Uttarakhand Women’s Commission, entrusting her with the responsibility. After which there is a flood of people congratulating her.
