The four friends lay in pain for an hour after their car got locked in a collision with a truck loaded with cement pipes at the zero point of the Delhi-Lucknow highway in the Mundhapande police station area of Moradabad on Tuesday night. After an hour of hard work, the police and the people around broke the window and took everyone out and sent them to the district hospital, where doctors declared the two girls Simran (18) and Shivani (25) dead. Treatment of the seriously injured youths was started.
Rahul Kundu, a resident of Titauli in the Sadar police station area of Rohtak district of Haryana, had gone to Nainital and Baba Neeb Karouri with his friend Sanju, a resident of Mokhla in the Gahu Akbarpur police station area of Rohtak, Shivani, a resident of Kansala in the IMT police station area and Simran, a resident of Shivaji Colony.
The car caught fire
On Tuesday night, everyone was returning to Rohtak by car. In the Mundhapande area, the car climbed the highway from the zero point, when a truck coming from Delhi hit it. The collision was so severe that the car got stuck in the truck. The truck driver dragged the car for 50 meters and left. After this, the car collided with the wall of the export firm and the car caught fire. The driver left the truck and fled from the spot. People nearby gathered at the spot and informed the police. After this accident, the four friends got stuck inside the car as it got locked.
The police and the people nearby controlled the fire by pouring water and soil. After about an hour of hard work, all four were taken out and taken to the district hospital, where the doctors declared both the girls dead. Sanju and Rahul were admitted and treated. SP City Kumar Ran Vijay Singh said that a case has been registered against the truck driver on the complaint of Anil Gosai, father of Rahul who was injured in the accident. The police have taken both the vehicles into their possession.
Google Map was on in the mobile
The police found a mobile on the stand next to the driver’s seat, in which Google Map was on. The driver was driving the car with the help of Google Map. As soon as the car was going towards Delhi on the zero joint, a speeding truck came on the cut and dragged the car away.
Serious head injuries to both the girls
On Wednesday, the police got the post-mortem of the bodies of both the girls done. The post-mortem report revealed that Simran and Shivani had injuries on their heads, hands and legs. Both died due to serious head injuries. After the post-mortem, the family took the bodies to Rohtak. Both the girls worked as nurses in Holy Heart Hospital in Rohtak. The family of Rahul and Sanju also got them referred from the district hospital and took them away.
Accidents are not stopping at Zero Point
Accidents keep happening every day at Dalpatpur Zero Point, in which many people have lost their lives. Due to the slope from Delhi side at Zero Point, vehicles come fast. There is a steep climb from Kashipur Tiraha to Zero Point. Experts say that this is the reason why more accidents are happening here. The concerned department has made plans several times to prevent accidents here, but accidents are not being stopped. More than 30 people have lost their lives in accidents at Zero Point in two years.
Two young women travelling in a car died after being hit by a truck on the highway

Mundhapande police have taken both the damaged vehicles into custody.
