Uttarakhand: Large scale inter-zonal transfer in education department, for the first time teachers’ zones changed

In Uttarakhand, the divisions of teachers have been changed on a large scale under the education department. This is the first time that inter-zonal transfer of assistant teachers has been done. 366 teachers have benefited from the transfer done for changing the division.

In Uttarakhand, assistant teachers have finally been given the opportunity of inter-zonal transfer. In this regard, orders have been issued by the education department. In which hundreds of teachers have been transferred by changing the division. 366 teachers of the assistant teacher cadre have got the benefit of inter-zonal transfer. Under secondary education, these teachers will now get a chance to work in another division.

However, this was being awaited for a long time and earlier the education minister had also talked about changing the division of all the assistant teachers across the state. But orders could not be made on this. In such a situation, now 366 teachers of the state have been given the benefit of changing the division for the first time. It was a long-standing demand of all the teachers that teachers should be given a chance for inter-zonal transfer. In such a situation, fulfilling this demand, 201 teachers of Kumaon division and 165 teachers of Garhwal division have been transferred from their division to another division.

The teachers who are being transferred will have to take charge of their new posting after relieving themselves from their current school within 15 days. The special thing is that the teachers taking advantage of inter-divisional transfer will be considered the most junior on the basis of seniority in the other division. The teachers of the assistant teacher cadre have been given the option to change the division once in their entire service period.

Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the years old demand of the teachers has been fulfilled. In such a situation, now the teachers who are taking posting in other divisions as per their wish. They should do educational work with full devotion. He said that this step of the education department will also prove to be very important for better education.
