On the occasion of the 135th birth anniversary of Constitution maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the state level workshop “Samman Abhiyan” organized at the I.R.D.T. Auditorium located at Sarvechowk, Dehradun. On this occasion, CM Dhami bowed to Baba Saheb and described his contribution as an inspiration for ages.
135th Birth Anniversary of Constitution Maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar
Paying tribute to Baba Saheb, the CM said that the Samman Abhiyan being celebrated on the occasion of Baba Saheb’s 135th birth anniversary will prove helpful in remembering his contribution to the nation and reawakening his ideas. The CM said that from Jan Sangh to today, the ideology of BJP has been based on social harmony, cultural consciousness and national unity.
CM Dhami said that the objective of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay was that when the person sitting at the last rung will sit on the throne of power, only then the dream of nation upliftment through Antyodaya will come true. The CM said that first Ramnath Kovind and then Draupadi Murmu becoming the President is a symbol of the realization of his dream of Antyodaya.
Baba Saheb had raised his voice against the caste system: CM
The CM said that Baba has given a new direction to the country with his thoughts, knowledge and patience. His struggle to bring the deprived sections of the society into the mainstream is an example for every generation. The CM said that he had raised a strong voice against the caste system. For which the countrymen will always be grateful to him.
Programs will be organized till April 25
Let us tell you that before ‘Bharat Ratna’ Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, the statues of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar will be cleaned on April 13. The premises will be decorated and Deepotsav will be organized in the evening. After which, on April 14, garlands will be offered to the statues and sweets will be distributed and the Preamble of the Constitution will be recited collectively.
At the same time, drinking water facility and cleaning of premises, maintenance of community facilities will also be done in Anganwadi centers and schools of Scheduled Caste settlements. After which, from April 15 to April 25, Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Scheduled Caste Federation, Baba Saheb’s speech based seminar will be organized in at least 2 sessions with leaders from different sections of the society.
PM is building a new India: CM
The CM said that today PM Modi is building a new India by walking on the foundation of modern India. By declaring a national holiday on Baba Saheb’s birth anniversary, PM Modi has paid true tribute to him. The government is developing the major places associated with the memories of Baba Saheb as Panch Teerth of national consciousness. The CM said that for the first time after independence, PM Modi has worked with full sincerity for the upliftment of Dalits and the deprived and to connect them to the mainstream of society.
The CM said that the government has increased the general budget for the welfare of the Scheduled Castes. Many important decisions have been taken to strengthen the economic, educational and social status. The CM said that the Central Government has amended the Dalit Atrocities Act 1989 and made it more stringent. Along with this, in schemes like Standup India Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, priority is being given to the poor, exploited, deprived, tribals and Dalits and their overall development is being ensured.
