Maharashtra: When his status in the Fadnavis government decreased, Dada took refuge in his uncle, Ajit Pawar was seen chatting a lot!

Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has faced many political setbacks in the last few months. Senior party leader Dhananjay Munde had to leave the government. Ajit Pawar also faced embarrassment due to his close relationship with the main accused in the Sarpanch murder case in Munde’s home district Beed. Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar also faced a setback in the Devendra Fadnavis government. Recently, the Chief Secretary of Maharashtra issued an order that from now on, Ajit Pawar will send all the files at the government level to Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, then Eknath Shinde will forward those files to the CM office. This was directly seen as a reduction in Ajit Pawar’s status in the Devendra Fadnavis government of Maharashtra. Amidst these political upheavals, the number of meetings between Ajit Pawar and his uncle Sharad Pawar has increased these days.

On Saturday, Chief Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar were seen together on stage at an event in Satara. This was the second time this week that both the leaders were seen together. Earlier on Thursday, Sharad Pawar attended the engagement ceremony of Ajit Pawar’s younger son Jay Pawar near Pune. Ajit Pawar is the head of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). They have been in opposing camps in Maharashtra politics since Ajit rebelled against his uncle in 2023 and joined the then BJP-Shiv Sena government.

After the Satara event, Sharad Pawar said in a post on social media that the management council of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha met at Chhatrapati Shivaji College on Saturday. He said that in the meeting it was decided to start a monthly magazine named Rayat. The aim of this magazine is to include articles on diverse and informative topics like education, science, technology, health, literature, sports, social issues, art, culture and global affairs and to spread this content widely.

Apart from this, it was also decided in the meeting to start courses on modern subjects like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics and 3D Printing. Sharad Pawar said that it has been decided to start a ‘Center of Excellence’ in Satara. Also, consensus was also reached on implementing many other visionary initiatives.

He said that as the President of the institution, I thank all the members of the Management Council for their cooperation. This event not only reflects the commitment of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha in the academic and social field, but also indicates that despite political differences, Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar can come together on social and educational platforms.
