Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was honored for implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in a grand ceremony held on the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar at BHEL ground in Haridwar.
A huge crowd was present in the program despite the humidity and scorching sun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in his address that this honor is not only his, but of the thinking that talks about justice and equality in the society.
The CM said that Uttarakhand became the first state to bring Baba Saheb’s dreams to the ground. The CM announced that Baba Saheb Samrasta Sthal will be built in Haridwar. Apart from this, multi-purpose buildings and special public awareness programs will also be started in the name of great personalities of the scheduled society.
