In Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district, Bahujan Samaj Party chief and former Chief Minister Mayawati’s niece has been a victim of atrocities in her own in-laws’ house. The niece has made very serious allegations against her in-laws and her husband. The girl alleges that her in-laws were demanding 50 lakh rupees and a flat in Indirapuram. Not only this, in the FIR, the niece has written that before marriage, the husband used to inject steroids to build his body, due to which he became impotent. After which he started living separately from her. To have a child, the in-laws pressured her to have physical relations with her brother-in-law.

FIR against seven people

Mayawati’s niece has filed a dowry harassment case against seven people including mother-in-law Hapur Municipal Council President Pushpa Devi, father-in-law Shripal Singh. After the incident, BSP District President Dr. AK Kardam expelled Pushpa Devi, Shripal and son Vishal from BSP on the orders of BSP supremo. This incident has also become a topic of discussion in the political field. Actually, Pushpa Devi contested the election on a BSP ticket. Her husband Shripal was busy preparing for the upcoming assembly elections.

The victim reached the court when she did not get help from the police

The victim alleges that after the incident on March 17, she went to the police station with her family. But, the police refused to register a report. On March 21, 2025, she complained to the SP. But even after this no action was taken. She took refuge in the court for justice. CO Jitendra Kumar Sharma said that on the orders of the court, a report has been registered against all the named accused. Action is being taken against the accused after investigating the matter.

The victim told in the report lodged that on November 9, 2023, she was married to Vishal, son of Pushpa Devi, a resident of Bank Colony near Ramlila Ground. It is alleged that right after the marriage, the victim’s husband Vishal, father in law Shripal Singh, mother in law Pushpa Devi, brother in law Bhupendra alias Monu, sister in law Nisha, sister in law Shivni, maternal uncle and father in law Akhilesh together started demanding a flat in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram and Rs 50 lakhs in dowry. It is alleged that the accused used to threaten her as her aunt Mayawati is the head of the Bahujan Samaj Party. The accused said that you have a lot of money. You arrange for a flat and Rs 50 lakhs. But when she protested, the accused started beating her. The accused used to threaten that if she complained to anyone in this regard then false cases would be filed against her.

Actually this incident is of 3rd August. Where Herbertpur police got information about a fire in a house in Rambagh area. When the police reached the spot, they found the burnt body of an old woman inside. The owner of the house, Sanjay Singh Rana, identified the body as his wife Suresho Devi alias Vandana Rana. Murdered mother when he did not get money for drugs The next day of the incident, the husband of the deceased, Sanjay Singh, while giving a complaint to the police, told that his son Manmohan Singh used to live with his mother. He was addicted to drugs and often used to demand money from his mother. There used to be a lot of quarrel between the two when the mother refused. The father told that Manmohan was missing from home since the incident. After which, he expressed doubt that maybe his son had committed the murder and set the room on fire. The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
