Hemkund Sahib Management Trust Chairman Narendra Jeet Singh Bindra met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday. During this, Bindra discussed in detail with the Chief Minister regarding the preparations for the Hemkund Sahib Yatra.
Bindra expressed gratitude to CM Dhami for the construction of Bailey Bridge
Bindra thanked Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for the construction work of the Bailey Bridge being built in place of the foot bridge damaged due to landslide last month at Govindghat. Also, he invited the Chief Minister to come to Rishikesh on May 22 for the departure of the first batch. During the meeting, CM Dhami expressed his desire to come to the Yatra himself this year.
The construction of the bridge will be completed by the end of April
It is known that last month due to landslide, the foot bridge of Govindghat connecting the Yatra route was completely destroyed. After which CM Dhami had given instructions to build an alternative Bailey Bridge. The work of the bridge is in progress. The bridge work will be completed by the end of April. Apart from this, to make the travel route smooth, the Indian Army has reached Ghangaria and started removing snow from the track. Let us tell you that this year the doors of Hemkund Sahib will be opened for devotees on 25 May.
