Get solar panels installed at home and get subsidy up to Rs 78,000, come to Gopalganj on this date
If you want to install solar panels on your roof, then you can get a subsidy of up to Rs 78,000 from the government. For this, the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Mukt Bijli Yojana is being run by the central government. If you want detailed information about the scheme, then come directly to Gopalganj on 24 April. A special camp is being organized here in the premises of the electricity department.
In fact, a total of 1521 applications have been received in Gopalganj district so far under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, but only 22 beneficiaries have been able to get connection so far. Out of these, 16 people have got connection in Gopalganj sub-division and six people in Hathua sub-division.
With the aim of removing the problems in the connection process and providing necessary support to the beneficiaries, a special camp will be organized by the Electricity Department in the electricity office premises on Thursday. All the beneficiaries applying in this camp will be given the examination of documents related to the scheme, information about the process and other technical assistance, so that the process of connection can be made simple and smooth. Necessary information will also be given to new applicants in the camp.

PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme is an ambitious scheme of the Government of India. Under this, work is being done to connect the common citizens to solar energy by reducing their dependence on electricity. Under this scheme, subsidy is given by the government on installing solar panels on your roof. A subsidy of up to Rs 30,000 is available on installing a 1 KV solar panel. At the same time, a subsidy of up to Rs 60,000 is available on installing 2 KV solar panels and Rs 78,000 on installing 3 KV or more KV panels. Beneficiaries installing solar panels will be given up to 300 units of free electricity every month. Online application can be made for the scheme at pmsuryaghar.gov.in.

Executive Engineer of Gopalganj Subdivision of Electricity Department, Mohammad Iqbal Anjum said that PM Surya Ghar Yojana is very beneficial, and it not only provides relief in electricity bills but also promotes environmental protection. The department has appealed that those who have applied must participate in the camp and avail the benefits of the scheme. He said that those who do not have capital can also get a loan from the bank.
