The Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra is going on in full swing. The doors of Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath Badrinath Dham have opened. The Badri Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC) was still completing the arrangements for the Char Dham without a president. But now Hemant Dwivedi has been nominated as the President of the Badri Kedar Temple Committee. Actually, the post of President had fallen vacant in January 2025. In such a situation, now the Uttarakhand government has appointed two vice-presidents along with the post of President of BTC. On the instructions of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, the President and Vice President have been appointed in the ‘Badri Kedar Temple Committee’. This time, apart from the President, two vice-presidents have also been appointed. Hemant Dwivedi, a resident of Pauri Garhwal, has been nominated as the President of the Badri Kedar Temple Committee. While Rishi Prasad Sati, a resident of Chamoli and Vijay Kaparvan, a resident of Rudraprayag, have been nominated as Vice Presidents in the Badri Kedar Temple Committee.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated the newly appointed Chairman of BKTC Hemant Dwivedi and both Vice Presidents Rishi Prasad Sati and Vijay Kaparvan. Through these responsibilities, he is confident that all the respected officials will give new momentum and direction to the work of the committee with their experience, dedication and vision. The decision to appoint two vice presidents is an important step towards comprehensive operation of pilgrimage areas, better coordination and providing more facilities to the pilgrims.
