The police has arrested the cunning accused from Gurgaon who cheated a person of Rs 1.90 lakh by cheating him with his ATM card in Satpuli area of Pauri. The accused has been arrested after strict instructions from SSP Pauri.
Fraud of lakhs by changing ATM
According to the information, on May 5, Premchand resident Dhyari Danda Satpuli had lodged a complaint in Satpuli police station that on April 28, he had gone to withdraw money from the ATM located in SBI Bank Satpuli, where an unknown person quietly changed his ATM card. After this, a total of 1 lakh 90 thousand rupees were withdrawn from his account on different dates.
The accused was caught from Gurgaon
The police registered a case and showed speed in the investigation and searched the CCTV footage of the bank and ATM as well as the surrounding areas. Also, with the help of surveillance, traced the location of the accused. On May 9, the police arrested the accused Dheeraj Singh resident Tilfari from Gurgaon. The police have recovered the victim’s ATM card, Rs 1600 in cash and a phone purchased with the defrauded money from the accused’s possession.
