An important step has been taken towards promoting biodiversity and local livelihood in Uttarakhand. Chief Forest Conservator (HAF) Dr. Dhananjay Mohan inaugurated the Kakragad Bird Watching Trail prepared by Rudraprayag Forest Division under Singoli-Bhatwadi CAT Plan.

The objective of this trail is to create employment and livelihood opportunities for local youth through eco tourism activities. This bird watching trail will play an important role in attracting bird lovers and nature conscious tourists.
Nature lovers expected to arrive in large numbers
Dr. Mohan said on the occasion of inauguration that Kakragad area is a very suitable place for bird watching due to its rich biodiversity and calm environment. Environmentalists, bird experts and nature lovers from the country and abroad can reach here in large numbers.
