Uttar Pradesh / Sonbhadra: People are trapped in the huge web of moneylenders, moneylenders rule the police stations and police posts

a
In Madhupur area of Sonbhadra, loans are being provided on interest and usurers are holding court at police stations. People’s motorcycles, fridge coolers and lands are being forcibly snatched. People have hopes from the higher authorities to put a check on this.
These days, the entire public is troubled by usurers in the district, while the administration also seems to be bowing down before them. It is worth mentioning that months ago, the Superintendent of Police of Sonbhadra district was Dr. Yashveer, and a businessman was brutally murdered in the Sadar area of the district. Later, Sonbhadra Police exposed the case and arrested a relative of the businessman. While revealing, the police told that the deceased businessman used to give a large amount of money to people on interest, which was recovered by the killer relative. His relative, who was working with him in greed for money, killed him and was arrested along with the recovery diary. After this incident, the then Superintendent of Police Dr. Yashveer Singh started a campaign in the entire district to search and take action against those involved in the illegal business of lending loans on interest. After this, this illegal business was slapped hard in the entire district, and the usurers were caught. But once again these days, the entire district has been trapped in the huge web of usurers. In which these people first identify the poor and helpless people and then first by luring and cajoling people, they give a large amount of money as loan and then the dangerous game of collecting interest starts. During this, on the strength of money from inside, the recovery of interest money is done very arrogantly and by threatening and intimidating in connivance with the regional administration. In which the regional administration helps them directly and indirectly in the greed of a few rupees. This process does not end here. With the help of their money, they establish their roots in the regional administration and police posts and by interfering in the administrative system, they play with the feelings and respect of the people. They are given chairs in the police posts and posts, they are fed tea, buttermilk and curd as well as sweets, because it fills their pockets. Vehicles of the people struggling with the burden of interest are forcibly snatched, in some places even fridges and coolers are mortgaged and in some places their lands are captured. When helpless people are forced to commit suicide, first of all they sell their lands at very low prices, which are bought by the moneylenders, for which no separate money is given, but it is deducted from the principal and interest of the loan amount. At the same time, they forcefully sell vehicles, fridges, coolers, jewelry etc. to their special people at cheap rates and even then they do not show the loan as repaid. This huge web never seems to end.
The irony is when it comes to light that the regional administration is also involved in this dirty and disgusting act against humanity. Now it remains to be seen whether the then Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra and District Magistrate Sonbhadra do anything to rein in these moneylenders. When will people finally get out of this huge net?
