Uttarakhand: Expenditure-Finance Committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary

A meeting of the Expenditure-Finance Committee was held in the Secretariat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. During the meeting of the Expenditure-Finance Committee, approval was given to the construction work of the Rafting Management Center near Janaki Setu in Rishikesh and the double lane work of Doiwala-Dudhli Motor Road.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary talked about including hill culture and green building in the design of the Rafting Management Center. He said that the Rafting Management Center should be made self-sustainable so that funds are arranged for its operation and maintenance.

During the meeting, it was told that the total cost of construction of the Rafting Management Center is Rs 4404.27 lakh. After its construction, works like permit, timetable and crowd control will be done along with live video monitoring with drones and CCTV cameras at the rafting points. In the meeting, approval was also given to the double lane work of Doiwala-Dudhli Motor Road at a cost of Rs 1306.64 lakh.

On this occasion, Secretary Dilip Javalkar, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey and Sridhar Babu Addanki along with other senior departmental officers were present.
