Uttarakhand: Big announcement for dependents of martyred soldiers, ex-gratia increased, one member will get a job

Last year on July 26, during the program organized on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had made a big announcement. Under which the ex-gratia amount given to the dependents of the martyred soldiers of the state was to be increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. In such a situation, before the upcoming Kargil Vijay Diwas, on June 2, 2025, the Uttarakhand government has issued a government order related to increasing the ex-gratia amount given to the dependents of the martyred soldiers. Along with this, it has also been decided to accommodate one member of the family of the martyrs in the government job of the state.
The ex-gratia amount given to the dependents of martyred soldiers in the state was earlier Rs 10 lakh. In such a situation, under the announcement of CM Dhami, this amount has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. In this regard, the Uttarakhand government has also issued a government order on Monday. In the government order issued from the level of Sainik Welfare Section, it has been said that as per the announcement made by the Chief Minister, this amount will be allowed to the martyr dependents from July 26, 2024. Thus, now the dependents of martyr soldiers in the state will be allowed an ex-gratia amount of Rs 50 lakh.
At the same time, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that Uttarakhand is not only Devbhoomi but also Veer Bhoomi. Our brave soldiers have shown their indomitable courage and valor in protecting the borders of the country. He said that many important decisions are also being taken in the interest of the soldiers under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. One Rank-One Pension, construction of National War Memorial, increase in defense budget as well as infrastructure has been strengthened in the border areas. He also said that the state government is committed to the welfare of soldiers and their families. It has also been decided to accommodate one member of the family of the martyrs in a government job in the state.
