Uttarakhand: There will be a special audit of Haridwar Municipal Corporation, CM Dhami said there is no place for corruption in Uttarakhand

In the Haridwar land scam case, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has suspended 12 people including the District Magistrate. Now CM Dhami has given instructions to conduct a special audit of the Municipal Corporation.

Haridwar Municipal Corporation will have a special audit

A big statement of CM Dhami has come to the fore in the Haridwar land scam case. The CM said that there is no place for corruption in Uttarakhand. The CM said that a corruption-free transparent system will be created in the state. Also, CM Dhami said that soon there will be a special audit of Haridwar Municipal Corporation.

Allegations against the officers to be suspended

These are the allegations: The role and integrity of District Magistrate Karmendra Singh was found to be suspicious in giving permission to purchase land.

Varun Chaudhary, then Municipal Commissioner, Haridwar

These are the allegations: Passed the land purchase proposal without proper procedure and played a major role in financial irregularities.

Ajayveer Singh, then SDM, Haridwar

These are the allegations: Changed the land use in the middle of the land purchase process, due to which the price of the land increased more than three times.

These officers were suspended

The Personnel Department has suspended the then administrator of Haridwar Municipal Corporation, DM Karmendra Singh, Municipal Commissioner Varun Chaudhary, SDM Ajayveer Singh, Senior Finance Officer Nikita Bisht, Senior Personal Assistant Vicky, Registrar Kanungo Rajesh Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer of Haridwar Tehsil Kamaldas. DM Karmendra, SDM Ajayveer and former Municipal Commissioner Varun Chaudhary have been removed from their current posts and attached to the Personnel and Vigilance Department in the government.
