Uttarakhand: Chief Secretary’s instructions – Complete the ongoing works of traffic management of Dehradun city quickly

In a meeting held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, the District Administration Dehradun and the concerned departments presented the city’s mobility plan related to making Dehradun city organized and more dynamic.
District Magistrate Dehradun Savin Bansal informed about the progress made so far in the works related to the city’s mobility plan and also informed about the future works and long-term plans to further improve the city’s system.
During this, the Chief Secretary directed the concerned officials to ensure 100% use of basement parking of all commercial institutions in the city. He directed to ensure strict enforcement action against those institutions which do not provide parking in the basement.
The Chief Secretary directed to bring rapid progress in the works of road and junction improvement in the city.
He asked all the departments including District Administration, Public Works Department, MDDA, Municipal Corporation, Transport Department, Police Department, Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan and Jal Nigam to prepare a clear road map to make Dehradun city more dynamic and well-organized in mutual coordination and also directed to ensure the determination of timeline for completion of each work.
The Chief Secretary directed MDDA to strictly follow the parking bylaws in the map approval of building construction.
During this meeting, Principal Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Pankaj Pandey, MDA Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari, Additional Secretary Vineet Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Dehradun Namami Bansal along with officials of Public Works Department, Transport Department and related departments were present.
Yoga Day will be organized in Garsain on 21st June, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan held a review meeting of the preparations
The Chief Secretary directed to complete all the preparations of Yoga Day on time at the main venues of Yoga Day, Bhararisain and Haridwar. He directed the nodal department of the event, AYUSH Department, Chamoli and Haridwar District Administration and the concerned departmental officers to complete all the preparations on time with better coordination.
On June 21, yoga demonstration and cultural program is proposed to be held in Bhararisain of Gairsain, the summer capital of Uttarakhand and a meeting of guests / delegates and Ganga Aarti in Haridwar district.
