With the oath of dedicating body, mind and life to the country, 419 Gentleman Cadets from Indian Military Academy (IMA) became part of the Indian Army on Saturday. Along with this, 32 cadets from nine friendly countries also passed out.
Sri Lankan Army Chief Lieutenant General BKGM Lasantha Rodrigo participated as the reviewing officer in the grand passing out parade and took the salute of the parade.
The parade started with the markers call at 6:38 am on Saturday
After this, the company sergeant majors took their respective places on the drill square. At 6:42 am, with the advance call, the cadets marched to the parade ground.
The Sri Lankan Army Chief inspected the parade and encouraged the cadets. During this, the cadets who performed excellently were also honored.
