Now IG Kumaon has issued strict instructions regarding the involvement of policemen in corruption and collusion with criminals. For which the police department has now also issued a toll free number. Through which the general public can now complain about policemen and officers on the toll free number.

IG Kumaon Riddhim Agarwal issued strict instructions and said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, instructions have been given to make the state corruption free and drugs free. Under which SOTF (Special Operations Task Force) has been formed at the Kumaon range level. The objective of these teams is to establish effective control over the drug business and corruption happening with the connivance of the police. Also, to further strengthen law and order and peace and security in the society.

The IG has issued instructions that if any policeman is found involved in any criminal activity during the action of SOTF, then strict legal action will be taken against him. For which a helpline number has also been issued at the range level. On which only information can be given about illegal drug trade, corruption and organized heinous crimes happening in connivance with the police. IG Kumaon Range said that complaints were being received about sale of drugs, corruption happening in connivance with the police and serious organized crimes. It has been seen that the local police do not take the complaints seriously and only do the formality. Collusion with criminals is spoiling the image of the police.

IG Kumaon Range issued strict instructions and said that if during the investigation it comes to light that the police is found to be involved at any level, then strict action will be taken against them.
