Now jam will not be allowed in these areas of Uttarakhand, Dhami government has issued an order

The government has increased the scope of prohibition areas in the state. Under this, there will be a ban on alcohol in the areas of the four Dhams i.e. Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri as well as Purnagiri, Reeth Sahib, Hemkund Sahib and Nanakmatta pilgrimage sites. Their shops will not open here. Also, the government has increased the scope of prohibition areas in Haridwar and Rishikesh.
Principal Secretary LN Fanai has issued an order in this regard. According to the order, before the establishment of the Municipal Corporation in Haridwar, there will be prohibition within the prescribed limits of the municipal body. Also, no liquor shop will be opened within a radius of 1.8 km of Piran Kaliyar.
The government has declared prohibition in the entire municipal corporation area of Rishikesh and the area within a radius of two km of the ancient Veerbhadra temple in Rishikesh. Not only will liquor shops not open here, but drinking alcohol will also be prohibited.
Earlier, prohibition was declared in the urban areas of the four Dhams and Haridwar and Rishikesh, but now the government has also specified the areas. Along with this, Reeth Sahib, Hemkund Sahib and Nanakmatta have also been brought under its ambit.
