A large number of objections have been lodged regarding reservation in the three-tier panchayat elections in Uttarakhand. The revised reservation list is to be released by June 18. On which the potential candidates are raising objections, the opposition party Congress is calling it a reservation with flaws. Former cabinet minister and Congress veteran leader Navprabhat has raised questions on reservation. Navprabhat said that the 2011 census has been made the basis for the three-tier panchayat elections. Due to which there should not have been any change in the previous reservation. This reservation is affecting all the panchayats of the state.

Former Congress cabinet minister Navprabhat, referring to the panchayats of Vikasnagar development block, said that ST seats have been increased arbitrarily here. SC, OBC seats have been reduced. Former Congress cabinet minister Navprabhat has surrounded the government regarding the status of reservation. Former Congress cabinet minister Navprabhat has called it a violation of rights.
