Jan Sangharsh Morcha president Raghunath Singh has demanded a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) probe into the Haridwar Municipal Corporation land purchase scam. In this case, Raghunath Singh along with his supporters gheraoed the Vikasnagar tehsil and also sent a memorandum to the Governor through the tehsil administration.
Jan Sangharsh Morcha president Raghunath Singh Negi alleges that this scam was carried out due to the instructions and pressure of a mastermind officer who has a good influence in the government. The officers carried out this scam under pressure. Raghunath Singh Negi has also praised the decision to suspend the officers in the land scam and order a vigilance inquiry. Raghunath Singh Negi has called it a commendable step of the government, but the picture of the mastermind is still not clear, on whom it is necessary to tighten the noose.
Raghunath Singh Negi alleges that the chatting of the scam done with the officials through the mobile of the mastermind officer also reached the media, in which the mastermind officer gave instructions to complete the work quickly by putting pressure. He said that by changing the land use of about 33 bighas of land adjacent to the garbage dump, land worth Rs. 14 crores was bought for Rs. 54 crores. In this case, FIR should have been lodged against the suspended officers under the Economic, Criminal, Conspiracy, Prevention of Corruption Act. The mastermind officer has tarnished the image of the government.
Jan Sangharsh Morcha President Raghunath Negi said that if CBI inquiry is not initiated against the mastermind fraud officer and FIR is not lodged against the corrupt officers soon, then Jan Sangharsh Morcha will approach the court.
