Uttarakhand: Health camp organized for journalists in Dehradun, more than 350 journalists and their family members participated

In line with the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a free health camp was organized for journalists and their families in Dehradun on Tuesday by the Department of Health and Information, in which health check-up of more than 350 journalists and their families was done.

The Chief Minister had recently instructed the officials to organize special medical camps for journalists. In this sequence, a special health camp was organized on Tuesday in the Information Directorate campus on Ring Road. In which senior doctors of Government Doon Medical College gave advice while examining the health of journalists. Along with this, other tests including pathology and the work of making Aabha ID was also done on the spot.
Camps for journalists will be organized in future too
The health camp was inaugurated by Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar and Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari. The Health Secretary said that this camp was organized in view of the busyness of the media personnel. In the camp, specialist doctors gave consultation after examination under one roof. Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari said that such camps will be organized for journalists in future too.

Director Medical Education Dr. Ashutosh Sayana said that senior physicians of Government Doon Medical College Dr. Vivekanand Satyawali, Dr. Ankur Pandey, Dr. NS Bisht, pediatrician Dr. Ashok Kumar, ENT Dr. Piyush Tripathi, ophthalmologist Dr. Shanti Pandey, cardiologist Dr. Amar Upadhyay, gynecologist Dr. Chitra Joshi, orthopedist Dr. Anil Joshi, dentist Dr. Devashish Sawai, Dr. Yogeshwari, surgeon Dr. Abhay, Dr. Dinesh Chauhan, urologist Dr. Manoj Vishwas, dermatologist Dr. Bhavya, psychiatrist Dr. Jagdish Singh Bisht, neurosurgeon Dr. DP Tiwari, pathologist Dr. Umashankar Kandwal, CMS Dr. Ravindra Bisht, principal Dr. Geeta Jain, senior radiology technician Mahendra Bhandari and paramedical staff also participated in the camp.

Dr. Ashutosh Sayana said that more than 350 journalists and their family members were examined in the camp. Along with Abha ID, Vaya Vandan cards were also made in the camp. He told that many such cases also came up in which journalists were diagnosed with problems like sugar, BP, vision problems for the first time only after examination, for which they were also given counselling and medicines.
