Uttarakhand: Preparations for Nanda Rajjat ​​Yatra are in full swing, a high level committee will be formed

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is on a Delhi tour. The CM held a virtual meeting of officials from Delhi on Tuesday. In which he directed to expedite all the preparations for the Nanda Devi Rajjat ​​Yatra to be held in 2026. Also directed to take suggestions from the members of the Yatra Committee and stakeholders.

A high-level committee will be formed for the successful conduct of Nanda Rajjat ​​Yatra
The CM directed the Chief Secretary to constitute a high-level committee for the successful conduct of the Nanda Rajjat ​​Yatra. Keeping in mind the experiences of previous Yatras, better arrangements should be ensured. Special attention should be paid to cleanliness along with good arrangements for all the walking routes related to the Yatra. The CM also directed for better arrangements for the stay of the devotees at the halt of the Yatra as well as arrangements for food and bathing houses.

Instructions given to create a digital trekking system
Chief Minister Dhami said that the safety of the devotees is most important. All necessary arrangements should be made to face various challenges in the high Himalayan regions during the Yatra. Digital tracking system should be made along with telecommunication arrangements on the travel route. CM said that in view of the safety of the passengers, helpline number should be issued during the journey. Special attention should be paid to health facilities during the journey.

Instructions given for the arrangement of heli ambulance
CM Dhami directed the officials to make adequate availability of medical camps and doctors and to arrange for heli ambulance. CM said that Nanda Rajjat ​​Yatra takes place during the rainy season, in view of this, all necessary arrangements should be made to prevent infectious diseases. Since most of the halts of the journey are in the forest area, special attention should also be paid to the protection of forest and environment.

There should be adequate availability of tents for the devotees: CM
Chief Minister Dhami also directed to ensure adequate availability of tents for the devotees. CM said that folk songs and folk tales related to Nanda Rajjat ​​should also be documented. The halts of the journey should also be promoted on a wide scale by the Tourism Department. The CM said that all necessary arrangements should be made to strengthen the crowd management and traffic system during the Nanda Rajjat ​​Yatra.

CS will review the preparations for Nanda Rajjat ​​Yatra every month
The CM directed the Chief Secretary to review the preparations for the Nanda Rajjat ​​Yatra every month. Also, the Garhwal and Kumaon Commissioner was asked to make preparations related to the Yatra every week. The CM said that roads, drinking water and other necessary arrangements should also be ensured in all the areas from where devotees and dolis come from in Garhwal and Kumaon.

Historic Nanda Devi Rajjat ​​Yatra to be organized in 2026
It is worth noting that all the necessary arrangements are being made keeping in mind the grand organization and convenience of the devotees of the 280 km historic Nanda Devi Rajjat ​​Yatra to be held in Uttarakhand next year. CM Dhami said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a grand and divine event of Nanda Devi Rajjat ​​and Haridwar Kumbh will be organized.
