A review meeting of Uttarakhand Civil Aviation was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan

District Magistrates of Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar informed about the progress of the works of expansion of Dehradun and Pantnagar airports. The Chief Secretary directed both the District Magistrates to complete the works related to the expansion of the airport expeditiously.
He directed the District Magistrate of Udham Singh Nagar to take further action by clearing the land acquired for the expansion of the airport expeditiously.
The Chief Secretary directed the District Magistrate of Pithoragarh to prepare a regular operational structure plan of the airport. He said that for the proper operation of the airport, personnel should be deployed through deputation from the Airport Authority of India (AAI) while personnel should be deployed through outsourcing from other agencies.
The Chief Secretary directed regarding the expansion of Pithoragarh airport to get the load bearing capacity of the tunnel checked by IIT Roorkee or a similar high technical institute.
The Chief Secretary directed the Director General of UKADA to present a detailed description of the current status of various works being done related to the expansion of air connectivity in the state and future plans in the next meeting.
During this, Secretary Aviation Sachin Kurve, Director General UKADA Mrs. Sonika and District Magistrate Dehradun Savin Bansal were present in the auditorium and the District Magistrates of Udham Singh Nagar and Pithoragarh were connected to the meeting through virtual medium.
