There is a big commotion happening under the earth, India’s land may split into two parts!

According to the report released by the American Geophysical Union, the Indian Tectonic Plates are breaking into two parts. Due to this, one part of it is sinking into the core of the earth. In simple words, the land part present on the earth can get a new shape. This research says that the tectonic plate present under India is breaking into two parts. If this continues to happen, it will have a huge impact on the geographical map of many countries of Asia including India.
What was said in the research?
An organization named American Geophysical Union has revealed in its research that the tectonic plate present under India is breaking into two parts. One part of it can get absorbed in the core of the earth. Let us tell you that the earth rests on a total of 7 tectonic plates. When these plates collide with each other, there is friction under the earth, which causes natural disasters like earthquakes. If these plates break, the Indian plate will get absorbed in the core. According to the study, the Indian plate has been colliding with the Eurasian plate for the last 60 million years.
The earth is sinking
The plate on the border of Europe and Asia is called the Eurasian plate. Due to the collision in it, a process is taking place in the Indian plate which is called delamination. In this, the part of the plate which has more density is sinking inside the earth. This is the reason why cracks are appearing in the Indian plates.
The risk of earthquake will increase
According to research, the stability of the plate is being affected due to delamination. Due to this, the risk of earthquake at that place increases to a great extent due to the slipping of the plate. Simon Klemperer, a geophysicist at Stanford University, says that there is a lot of pressure on the tectonic plates in the Himalayan areas, due to which there is a risk of cracks on these plates which causes earthquakes. However, scientists have made it clear that this phenomenon of breaking of plates is in its initial stage and there is a need to do more in-depth research on it.
