Shillong Police is rapidly moving forward with the investigation of Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. Sonam had gone from Indore to Ghazipur in a taxi. Shillong Police interrogated its driver Piyush for about an hour in Indore Crime Branch. The driver did not tell anything to the media regarding the interrogation. When asked, he said that whatever he had to tell, he has told it to the police officers.
Driver gave a lot of information to the police
According to the latest information received from police sources, after the murder of her husband Raja, Sonam reached Indore from Shillong wearing a burqa. After this, Sonam remained in the burqa till she got down at Ghazipur bypass from Indore. Sources said that while going to Ghazipur, Sonam kept getting instructions on her mobile throughout the way. Sonam was constantly messaging someone on the phone.
She had booked a taxi for 30 thousand and gone to Ghazipur
Raja Raghuvanshi murder case mastermind Raj Kushwaha had booked a taxi for Sonam for Rs 30,000. He had sent driver Piyush to drop her to Ghazipur. On June 7, Sonam took a taxi from the rented flat in Dewas Naka. Sonam did not even stop at any restaurant for food. While reaching Ghazipur, Sonam received a call. After this, she asked the driver to stop the car. She got down at Ghazipur bypass.
Police questioned Raja and Sonam’s family
Let us tell you that Meghalaya Police reached Indore on Wednesday in connection with the investigation of Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder and questioned Sonam Raghuvanshi’s family. Apart from the area, Raja’s family was also questioned. Three officers went to Sonam’s house and talked to her mother and brother. Sonam’s brother Govind said that we have already told the truth to the police. If Meghalaya Police has any doubts, they are free to investigate us.
Meghalaya Police officials also inspected a flat in Dewas Naka area of the city, where Sonam had allegedly stayed secretly for a few days after returning to Indore after Raja’s murder. Sources said the officials found very little belongings in the vacant flat, which included only a few utensils.
