‘Odisha is a shining star of India’s rich heritage’
During this, PM Modi said – Odisha is not just a state, it is a shining star of India’s rich heritage. For centuries, Odisha has enriched Indian civilization and culture. ‘The country has seen the BJP’s development model on a large scale’
PM Modi further said, ‘For decades after independence, the people of the country saw the Congress’s governance model. That model lacked both good governance and ease of living. Delay in development projects, derailment of them and their mismanagement, scams, corruption, these were the hallmarks of the Congress’s development model. But in recent years, the country has seen the BJP’s development model on a large scale. In the last decade, many states have seen BJP governments for the first time. And in these states, not only the government changed, but a new era of social and economic change began’.
During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘It is a happy coincidence that when the BJP government of Odisha is completing its one year, all of you are busy preparing for the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath ji. Mahaprabhu is our idol as well as our inspiration and with the blessings of Mahaprabhu, the issues related to the Shri Mandir have also been resolved… As soon as the government was formed here, all the four doors of the Shri Mandir were opened, the treasure house of the Shri Mandir has also been opened and this is not a matter of political victory or defeat, this is an act of respecting the faith of crores of devotees.’
