Uttarakhand: Yoga Day celebrated in Bhararisain, CM Dhami unveiled the Yoga policy booklet

On the 11th International Yoga Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and ambassadors of 8 countries did yoga with students and others in the Vidhan Sabha premises in Bhararisain (Gairsain), the summer capital of the state. During this, on the occasion of the 11th World Yoga Day, Chief Guest CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and ambassadors gave the message of staying healthy by doing yoga. On this occasion, ambassadors from various countries including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami unveiled the Yoga Policy Booklet.

International Yoga Day 2025 is being celebrated with enthusiasm and dedication across the state today. Also, people took a pledge to balance body and mind with yoga. In a program organized at Bhararisain, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Prime Minister has a special vision towards AYUSH and wellness sector. He said that work is being done to make Uttarakhand emerge as a global center of yoga.

CM Dhami further said that yoga and Ayurveda have been deeply embedded in our culture for centuries, this land has been the place of worship for sages, yogis and vaidyas. Many dignitaries and school students including delegates from Mexico, Fiji, Nepal, Suriname, Mongolia, Latvia, Sri Lanka and Russia and yoga guru Padmashree Swami Bharat Bhushan were present in the International Yoga Day program organized at Bhararisain.

The importance of yoga was highlighted in the organized program and people were also given tips to adopt a healthy lifestyle. In the program, people were asked to fully adopt yoga in their lives, so that they can stay healthy.
