Uttarakhand / Kotdwara: Murdered husband with the help of lover, first made him drink alcohol and then gave him a painful death

On 5 June 2025, a sensation spread when the body of an unknown person was found in Kotdwar of Pauri district. The police took the body into custody and tried to identify it. A few days later, the body was identified as that of Ravindra Kumar, a resident of New Delhi. When the police investigated, it was found that the deceased’s wife had killed her husband in connivance with her lover.

According to Pauri Police, on 17 June, the deceased’s brother Rajesh Kumar had given a complaint in Kotdwar police station. In which he had accused his wife Reena Sindhu of murder, calling brother Ravindra’s death suspicious. Rajesh told that Ravindra had left home and was living in Haridwar since 2007. He met Reena there. Both got married in the year 2010. After marriage, the couple started having a dispute over property.

Deceased’s brother filed complaint
Deceased’s brother alleged that Reena murdered Ravindra with her lover Paritosh Kumar and threw the body in the forest. Based on the complaint and the deceased’s post-mortem report, the police started investigating the case. Police teams took the case seriously and scanned the CCTV cameras of the area. In which the movement of a suspicious vehicle was seen. The forensic team inspected the spot and collected many important evidence.

Reena was against selling the property

Investigation revealed that Ravindra was murdered by his wife Reena and her lover Paritosh Kumar. Police arrested both the accused from Bijnor. During interrogation, both the accused confessed their crime. During interrogation, Reena told that Ravindra wanted to sell his Moradabad property due to debt, but Reena was against it. Both of them used to fight over this matter.

The first meeting was at the physiotherapy centre

Reena told that she met Paritosh at the physiotherapy centre. From there, the closeness between the two increased. Reena along with Paritosh called Ravindra to her lover’s house in Bijnor on 31st May. Reena also lured her lover Paritosh with money. Reena made her husband drink alcohol and carried out the crime with her lover.

Let us tell you that the first attack on Ravindra’s chest and neck with a shovel was done by his lover Paritosh. After killing him, they put the body in the car and brought it to Ramnagar. When they did not get a chance to throw the body in Ramnagar, they brought the body of the deceased to Kotdwar by car and as soon as they got a chance, they threw the body in the forest. After which they also left the car in Noida. The police have presented both the accused in the court and sent them behind the bars.
