Pakistan has once again surprised the world. But this time not about cricket or debt but about the Nobel Peace Prize. Yes, Pakistan has officially nominated the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. And that too for US President Donald Trump. Trump is the person who says great again even after looking at himself.

Pakistan nominates Donald Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

Actually, this was confirmed by issuing an official statement from Pakistan. For a long time, speculations were being made that Pakistan could nominate the US President for the Peace Prize. And something similar was seen. This was confirmed when Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir had lunch with Trump in Washington.

Official statement said this

Pakistan issued an official statement saying, “The Government of Pakistan has recommended the name of President Donald J. Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2026. The government has decided to formally recommend the name of President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for his decisive diplomatic intervention and important leadership during the recent India-Pakistan crisis.”

Nomination after lunch with Munir

President Trump hosted Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir at the White House on Wednesday. Immediately after which this nomination was done. Perhaps the lunch was done for the Nobel nomination. If reports are to be believed, Munir joined Trump for lunch at the White House.

However, what was discussed between the two is also not known. Munir, who is now also a Field Marshal, had earlier advocated this to the US President. He also credited Trump for averting a nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan.

Nobel recommendation, luncheon

Let us tell you that White House spokesperson Anna Kelly had informed that Trump is hosting Munir for lunch. The reason? Munir has recommended Trump to get the Nobel Peace Prize for his alleged role in averting nuclear war between India and Pakistan. According to the report of Pakistan’s newspaper Dawn, this meeting is being described as a historic diplomatic success.

Trump repeats the same thing again and again

Trump has been continuously claiming that the credit for reducing tension between India and Pakistan after May 7 goes to him. But the Indian government has been rejecting this claim outright every time. India’s clear stand is that the Indian Army responded to Pakistan’s provocative actions with a solid military strategy, due to which Pakistan was forced to retreat on its own.
