Uttarakhand / Rudraprayag: Public service should be the priority, DM Prateek Jain gave strict instructions to the officers as soon as he took charge

Rudraprayag’s newly appointed DM Prateek Jain held a meeting with the officials of various district level departments in the Vikas Bhawan auditorium on Monday and reviewed the works related to their department by introducing the departmental officials. During the meeting, the DM gave top priority to the arrangements of Kedarnath Yatra and instructed to keep the travel route, accommodation, traffic system, health facility, cleanliness, drinking water and all the arrangements related to the passengers in order.

DM reviewed the preparations for the three-tier panchayat elections

DM Prateek Jain also reviewed the preparations for the upcoming three-tier panchayat elections and instructed the concerned departments to ensure the discharge of election related responsibilities in a timely manner. The DM emphasized on the timely availability of the necessary resources to conduct peaceful, fair and systematic elections. Apart from this, in view of disaster management, the DM instructed all the departments to remain in alert mode. DM Jain laid special emphasis on the availability of relief and rescue material, quick communication system, activation of emergency control room and practice before the disaster to deal with possible disasters.

DM took information about the works related to various departments

The DM took information about the works related to various departments. Also, he took information from all the departments regarding the works proposed in this financial year. He directed the project manager UREDA to ensure that a detailed report of the government offices and buildings in the district where solar panels have been installed is made available by July 10. Apart from this, the DM also took information from the concerned officials regarding the construction of the sports ground under construction in Agastyamuni. The DM urged all the officials to complete the works in a timely manner by maintaining mutual coordination by constantly talking to the general public, local public representatives.

I will take out time to connect with the public: DM

The District Magistrate clarified that he will take out time to connect with the public apart from his scheduled office hours. Also, he will meet the people directly through active participation by going to field visits, Jan Chaupal, and Gram Sabhas and will be aware of their real problems. The DM directed all the officers that all the officers should adopt a sensitive and cooperative attitude towards the public and no person should feel hesitant in telling his problem.
