Since the onset of monsoon in Uttarakhand, rain has been causing trouble in many places. The Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert for many districts of the state on June 26. Along with this, people traveling on the mountains have been instructed to be cautious.

According to the forecast issued by the Director of Meteorological Department Vikram Singh, an orange alert of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued for Rudraprayag, Nainital and Bageshwal districts on June 26 i.e. today. Whereas in Dehradun, Chamoli, Tehri Champawat and Pithoragarh districts, there may be heavy rain along with lightning at some places. Meteorologists have appealed to the passengers coming on Chardham Yatra to be cautious.

33 routes closed due to debris due to heavy rain

Let us tell you that due to heavy rain in Uttarakhand, 33 routes have been closed due to debris. According to the information received from the State Disaster Operations Center, the movement of heavy vehicles is closed due to debris in Pinola Ghat beyond Joshimath on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway. 24 routes of PMGSY and 6 routes of Public Works Department are closed. Efforts are on to open them.
