Uttarakhand: For better advocacy of government cases pending in the courts, the Chief Secretary held a meeting with senior government officials and government advocates

Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan held a meeting with senior officials of the government and government advocates in his auditorium for better coordination between the department, government and government advocates for better advocacy of government cases going on in the honorable courts.
The Chief Secretary directed that for the cases of such major departments whose maximum cases are going on in the courts, nodal officers should be nominated in the concerned department, in the government and in the government advocates, so that it can be ensured whom to contact for any kind of information or discussion in the related case. He said that there is a need for nodal officers to remain constantly updated. He said that a system and mechanism should be prepared so that there can be dialogue between the department, government and advocates to present the case in a better way.
The Chief Secretary said that it is also necessary to make the right department a party when a case goes to the honorable court. There is unnecessary delay in the cases when the wrong department is made a party. He said that strong advocacy should be done for the speedy disposal of big and important cases of the government.
The Chief Secretary said that an app or software should be developed so that all cases can be prepared and reviewed on time so that information about the cases can be shared easily.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Principal Secretary Justice Pradeep Pant, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, ADG Dr. V. Murugeshan, A P Anshuman, Secretary Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Dr. Ranjit Sinha and Jugal Kishore Pant along with government advocates were present.
