Britain has finally agreed to take the F-35 fighter aircraft, which was stuck in Kerala for two weeks, to the hangar. However, Britain also put a condition that this should be done only after the UK engineering team arrives.

The F-35B is an American-made fifth-generation supersonic stealth fighter aircraft. It is considered the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft. It has been built by Lockheed Martin. This is the reason why Britain fears that other people will also become aware of its technology if it is taken to the hangar.

Technical fault in aircraft
The F-35B fighter aircraft is part of the Prince of Wales Carrier Strike Group. The aircraft was returning after a joint exercise with the Indian Navy in June, but then it started giving signals of low fuel. It was immediately landed at Thiruvananthapuram airport.

During this time, there was some technical problem in the aircraft and it was parked at the airport itself. Later, Air India offered parking in the airport’s hangar, but the British Navy rejected the proposal.

Now Britain has prepared a plan to send its engineering team with specialist equipment. The aircraft will be taken to the hangar only after the arrival of this team. British officials have thanked the Indian authorities and Thiruvananthapuram International Airport for their support.
