Badri-Kedar Temple Committee has taken a big decision. The temple committee has banned taking photographs outside Badrinath temple. The temple committee has taken this decision after the incident of July 2. Also, the temple committee took cognizance of the video of the fight outside Badrinath temple on July 2 and has said that action will be taken against the mischievous elements and indecent behavior in the Dham.
First know the whole matter: Actually, there was a fight between the devotees on the stairs of Singhdwar right in front of Badrinath temple. There was a fierce fight between the two groups, the video of which has also surfaced. The matter had escalated so much that the police had to intervene.
Earlier it was being said that the fight between the devotees was over darshan in the temple. But later Badri-Kedar Temple Committee said that this fight was not about darshan, but the devotees fought among themselves over taking photographs.
This video was talked to BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi on the phone. He told that he is currently present in Delhi. The video has also come to his notice. He told that already there is a complete ban on photography and making any kind of videography like reels etc. within 50 meters of the temple. Still some people are violating the rules. However, now this will be implemented strictly and there will be a complete ban on standing on the stairs just ahead of the Singhdwar of Badrinath Dham and taking photos.
BKTC has appealed to the devotees to get photos taken in the designated open premises ahead of Singhdwar. Maintain the dignity of the Dhams. This kind of behavior sends a wrong message to the general public.
