Uttarakhand: Bodies of those missing in the landslide recovered from Yamunotri trekking route, 11-year-old girl identified

The rescue team on Sunday recovered the bodies of two passengers missing in the landslide accident on the Yamunotri footpath on June 23 from the Bhageli Gad area of the Yamuna river. The bodies of these passengers have been recovered after 13 days.

The bodies have been identified as Kamlesh Jethwa (35), resident of Mumbai and Bhavika Sharma (11), resident of New Delhi. After identification, the bodies have been sent to CHC Naugaon. While the severed leg of another body has also been recovered from the spot, whose relatives have been called for identification.

Outpost in-charge Gambhir Singh Tomar said that the place where these bodies have been found is near the Yamuna river, much below the main incident site. Two devotees went missing in the landslide near Naukainchi on June 23. A rescue operation was being conducted in search of them.
