Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday flagged off 20 Tempo Travellers being operated by Uttarakhand Transport Corporation at a function organized from the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. After which CM Dhami himself traveled in a Tempo Traveller from the Camp Office to the GTC Helipad.

Let us tell you that 10 Tempo Traveller vehicles will run on Dehradun-Mussoorie and 10 Tempo Traveller vehicles will run on Haldwani Nainital route. This will also reduce the problem of jam between Nainital-Haldwani and Dehradun-Mussoorie. CM Dhami said that if this initiative is successful, the number of such services will be increased further. The Chief Minister himself traveled in a Tempo Traveller from the Camp Office to the GTC Helipad.

The CM said that air conditioned tempo travellers will prove to be important in strengthening the transport system of the state.
These will provide safe, smooth and affordable travel to the passengers. Along with this, the economic and tourism activities of the state will also get a boost. The CM said that the government is trying to connect every area of the state with better road network and reliable transport services.
The Transport Corporation is in profit for three years
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that today the Transport Department is providing easy travel to the public through services like digital ticketing, online booking, tracking system. He said that continuous work is being done towards strengthening the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation. As a result, the Transport Corporation has been in profit for three consecutive years.
