Tricolour hoisted in America: Uttarakhand’s bravehearts shined in World Fire Games, won 9 medals

Participating for the first time in the World Police and Fire Games 2025 held in Birmingham, USA, four bravehearts of Uttarakhand Fire Service brought laurels to India on the international stage. Displaying amazing courage, discipline and hard work, these bravehearts made a significant contribution to India’s medal tally by winning a total of 9 medals.

Players from more than 70 countries participated in the competition

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated all the participants. The CM said that every medal is a proof of dedication, mental toughness and physical ability. This victory is not only a sporting achievement, but also the identity of Uttarakhand Fire Service and the shine of India’s pride, which is shining on the international stage. More than 8,500 players from more than 70 countries participated in this competition.

Three women and one male firefighter made the country proud

For the first time, Uttarakhand Fire Service participated in this global event. Among the four Uttarakhand firefighters from India, there were three women and one male firefighter, who made the country proud. Fire service driver Dinesh Chandra Bhatt performed brilliantly by winning silver in the Ultimate Firefighter competition and bronze in the Fire Fighting Challenge.

Dimple Rawat brought glory to the country

At the same time, the team of female firefighters Dimple, Madhuri Bhandari and Pinky Rawat won bronze in the Ultimate Firefighter category and silver in Stair Run (full fire gear). Dimple Rawat gave the best performance not only from Uttarakhand but from the whole of India in the competition. Let us tell you that Dimple alone won 6 medals. Which include 2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze.
